TPS Clean Energy Summit
The TPS Clean Energy Summit brings together TPS program participants and regional energy sector leaders for a full day of professional growth, collaboration, and community building. The summit features a dynamic mix of roundtable discussions, guest speaker sessions, and networking opportunities.
Attendees from both the public and private sectors come together to exchange ideas, build connections, and gain valuable insights to support their clean energy career journeys. Thank you to our partners for their continued support in advancing the next generation of climate-critical leaders!

Discussion will address how the Commonwealth defines and assesses needs across Energy and Environment. Crystal Johnson will walk through strategic priorities as well as implications for emerging leaders in the energy industry.

Discussion will invite regional leaders to describe initiatives underway to address building decarbonization, community electrification, and community resilience. Discussion will also map considerations new entrants should consider as they transition into the space.

Discussion will review the current policy landscape for the built environment climate meant to address grid modernization, utility regulation, building performance, and zoning. The group will explore the next frontiers in climate and energy policy.

Mena Hassan joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program as a software engineer with a passion for accessibility, open-source collaboration, and community-centered design. With a background in customer success and a career pivot into full-stack development, Mena has contributed to the Open edX platform and developed tools focused on usability and engagement. She is interested in building equitable energy and technology solutions that are inclusive by design.
Menatallah Hassan TPS Fellow
Dunia Seidu joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with a background in technical communications, web and software application development, and data visualization. In prior roles, Dunia has developed tools to bridge community understanding of municipal climate action programs and she has additionally led communication efforts to support M/WBE awareness of opportunities to scale in the climate space. She is interested in ways the application of AI and data-driven methodologies can be applied to advancing community awareness and sustainability.

Jose joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship Program after 25 years in administrative leadership within K-12 education. In this work, Jose became a practitioner himself in engaging community stakeholders to support the sustainable and inclusive growth the students and families he served. Jose joins the TPS Fellowship with an interest in applying those experiences to mapping a just energy and climate transition for families and communities.

Abiodun Osayi-Osazuwa joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with extensive experience in quality control, manufacturing compliance, and process optimization. With over seven years working across the medical, consumer, and industrial product sectors, Abiodun brings a meticulous eye for cross-industry inspection protocols and system improvement. He is particularly interested in applying lean methodologies to ensure safety, sustainability, and quality in energy and environmental technologies.

Nick Johnson joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program as a software engineer with a background in computer science and film studies. Through his internships at Wayfair, Nick has developed backend systems and managed APIs to ensure system reliability and more effective collaboration systems. With a creative lens and technical aptitude, Nick is eager to support how digital solutions and storytelling can advance equitable energy transitions.

Osarume joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with pronounced experience in public health advisory, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. She has deep interest in the connection between public health and community infrastructure. Osaru joins the TPS Fellowship with a focus on bridging holistic solutions to community growth and well-being.

Rosy Basil-Kalu joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with a background in social work, software engineering, and designing data-driven interventions. A dual degree holder in Biology and Psychology, Rosy has developed disciplines for analyzing proposed interventions and designing to improve outcomes both at the individual and community level. She is interested in ways that energy technology systems can be specified, designed, and deployed to promote the well-being of community networks.

Chika Okechukwu joins the Adult Mobilization Program with practical experience in electric vehicle diagnostics, logistics, and customer service. With a background in high-voltage systems, EV repair, and operations management, Chika has worked across Nigeria, UAE, and the U.S. to bridge technology and service delivery. He is currently expanding his knowledge in energy-efficient building operations and is passionate about accessible technology solutions that improve infrastructure in local communities.

Fatoumata Diarra joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with a background in pharmaceutical market access, strategic communication, and risk assessment. Fatoumata has additionally worked in an advisory capacity for programs aimed at solar powered irrigation in West Africa. She is interested in the analysis, strategy development, and deployment of life changing technology and solutions to address the needs of underserved communities.

Maisy Mure joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with a background in environmental studies, communications, and community engagement. A writer and student of political science, Maisy has contributed to storytelling projects, trail stewardship, and public-facing media to elevate conversations around climate and culture. She is passionate about using communication and policy to foster environmental justice, and she is especially interested in how energy systems can be better designed to serve and reflect the communities they impact.

Ibrahim Abubakar joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with a robust foundation in electrical engineering, robotics, and industrial automation. He brings research experience in pressure sensor design and adaptive control systems, with prior work focused on enhancing robotic precision and developing autonomous systems for emergency response. Ibrahim is passionate about leveraging automation and sensor technologies to support community resilience and sustainable energy solutions.

Simone Lopes joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with extensive experience in public-sector operations, sustainability, and data-driven project development. Currently pursuing an MBA in Environmental Management, Simone has supported clean energy adoption efforts through CECA at National Grid, where she applied AI and policy strategies to geothermal projects. Her career spans library systems management, community-based research support, and civic data collection with the U.S. Census. Simone is passionate about connecting environmental leadership, data, and inclusive public programs to advance clean energy transitions.

Marcus Anum joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with a background in product management, data analysis, and research. With experience leading app development lifecycles and building data-driven strategies at Cambridge Mobile Telematics and TrueMotion, Marcus brings a sharp analytical lens to innovation in the clean tech space. His work has focused on improving user experience, advancing safety technologies, and uncovering insights that drive better digital tools. Marcus is interested in leveraging data, user feedback, and technology to shape equitable and effective energy systems.

Jayani Imalka joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with a strong background in data analysis, financial operations, and higher education. As a former lecturer in data science and consultant in business systems analysis, she brings deep analytical rigor and a commitment to impactful problem-solving. Her recent work through the Clean Energy Career Academy focused on automating clean energy incentive tracking using SQL and compliance-focused database design. Jayani is passionate about using data to improve energy efficiency programs and drive sustainable outcomes.

Liora Silkes joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with experience in municipal climate action, energy coaching, and community education. At the City of Newton, she launched the “4 Our Future” residential electrification campaign and developed a coaching model to guide hundreds of residents through energy upgrades. With a foundation in environmental studies and building science, Liora is focused on scaling local-level energy transitions and empowering communities to meet bold climate goals.

Ana Tavares Leary joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with over a decade of experience in strategic partnerships, environmental justice, and stakeholder engagement. Fluent in English, Portuguese, and French, Ana has advised global organizations and led sustainability-focused projects across North and South America. With a Master’s in Environmental Studies and a track record of board leadership and climate advocacy, she is dedicated to advancing equity-centered solutions in clean energy and climate resilience.

Sanne Wright joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with a focus on planning, equitable development, and environmental justice. A Master of City Planning candidate at MIT, Sanne has supported public policy, community engagement, and advocacy through roles at the Times Square Alliance, Kyanite Partners, and the Consensus Building Institute. She brings strong research and facilitation skills and is particularly interested in how infrastructure and public policy can be aligned with the needs of frontline communities in a just transition.

Louisa Jenness joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program with a background in electrical engineering, renewable energy design, and language education. A recent graduate of Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology, Louisa has designed solar PV systems, contributed to process improvements, and completed technical internships focused on compliance and energy systems. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and experienced in tutoring, she is passionate about building accessible, community-focused solutions in clean energy and technology.

Danny Garcia Cortes joins the Transform Power Systems Fellowship program as a software engineer with a passion for building inclusive technology and energy solutions. A graduate of Resilient Coders, Danny has developed full-stack applications using React, Node.js, and MongoDB, and worked on AI tools to support infrastructure improvements. Through his fellowship with National Grid’s Clean Energy Career Academy, Danny gained practical knowledge of distributed energy systems, safety protocols, and the real-world challenges of grid modernization. He is committed to using technology to improve access and equity in the clean energy sector.

A certified Building Analyst Professional, Fritz has led ERP system implementations and data migration projects that improve organizational efficiency. His interdisciplinary expertise blends technology with building performance strategies. Fritz is deeply committed to optimizing infrastructure and energy systems for community impact and resilience.
