About the TPS Workforce Hub

The Transform Power Systems (TPS) Workforce Hub connects Massachusetts-based residents to comprehensive training, employer-aligned experiences, and long-term career placement in clean energy. Through two structured pathways, participants receive hands-on learning, personalized support, and direct access to top employers committed to a more sustainable future.

Training Pathways

Specialization Tracks

Fellows select at least one career-aligned track to focus their training and project work:

Project Coordination / Project Management

Learn to organize and lead clean energy projects, manage timelines, and coordinate with technical teams.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Develop skills to assess, document, and verify the quality and compliance of energy systems and installations.

Field Service Engineering

Train for on-site technical roles supporting system installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Electrical System Design

Focus on designing electrical distribution systems, solar + storage layouts, and interconnection plans.

TPS Clean Energy Fellowship

Overview

For career professionals looking to transition into clean energy. 

The core Fellowship experience is a 12-week immersive program designed for professionals who are ready to transition into clean energy. The program augments your existing degree and work experience to support your next professional steps. Fellows receive:

Duration

Adult Mobilization Program (AMP)

For individuals with some work experience. 

This 8–20 week pathway is designed for individuals with at least five years of work experience in any field. Your experience is your strength—AMP helps you translate it into a career in clean energy by providing:

Your existing workplace skills (whether it’s reliability, leadership, customer service, and problem-solving) are all highly transferable to roles in clean energy. AMP helps you build on those strengths with industry-specific training and direct employer engagement.

Both programs offer robust support to reduce barriers and promote long-term success:

Support Description
Success Coaching
One-on-one guidance from a dedicated coach throughout training and post-program. Includes career planning, accountability, and retention support.
Stipends
Financial support provided during training to reduce income disruption. Amounts vary based on program track.
Transportation Assistance
Transit subsidy based on need, to offset commuting costs for training sessions, site visits, and employer meetings.
Technology Access
Laptops and mobile hotspots are available for loan to ensure full access to virtual learning and assignments.
